Please give as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or postpone your appointment, with at least two business days notice to avoid a cancellation fee. INSURANCE

We work with clients who have accepted insurance claims, such as with GIO or NRMA. Before being able to claim psychology sessions on insurance you must have an approved claim number and written approval for psychological assessment or therapy from your insurer, confirming the agreed number of psychological sessions funded by the claim. The criteria for these are determined on a case by case basis via your insurance provider and you. They may ask you to see your GP first. Once we have written approval we can charge your insurer directly. Fees for psychological services in insurance claims are charged according to the APS Schedule of Recommended Fees.

WORKER'S COMPENSATION

If you have been the victim of workplace harassment or bullying, an excessive workload, a workplace injury or traumatic workplace event resulting in symptoms of depression, anxiety and/or trauma, then you may be able to access psychological counselling as part of your recovery via your employer's employee assistance program (EAP) or worker's compensation cover eg Comcare, WorkCover. If you think this applies to you, consult with your employer and/or GP as they can initiate this for you if they think you are eligible. Before you can start counselling you must have an approved claim number and written approval from your insurer or employer for psychological assessment or therapy. Once we have written approval we can charge your insurer or employer directly.

NDIS

Rebalance Psychology is a registered NDIS provider of therapeutic supports for psychological assessment and therapy. If you think this applies to you, consult your current NDIS plan or consult with your NDIS coordinator and/or plan manager to see if you are eligible. Before you can start counselling you must have a current NDIS plan with approval for relevant therapeutic supports, as well as an approved service agreement and service booking.
